Itinerary: 

May 1: Arrival Day. Guests will arrive in Puerto Maldonado and be greeted at the airport by Guides. This evening we will have dinner in town and stay one evening at a local hotel to prepare to an early morning departure for the following day.

May 2: Travel to Las Piedras Biological Station & settle In. As a group, we will travel by car and boat to arrive at the Las Piedras Biological Station situated along the Tambopata river. Guest will be introduced to the station, provided with lunch and dinner and will participate in a small welcoming ceremony of setting intentions and asking permission from the territory. 

 

May 3: Guests will awake with the sun for an observational jungle walk. We will spend the day learning about the flora and fauna of the land and also make paint from natural materials that can be used throughout the Amazon Connection adventure retreat. 

 

May 4: Morning Jungle Walk discussing the medicinal and nutritional uses of plants from the jungle. Afternoon we will visit a near by waterfall for mediation, creative activation, and art making. 

 

May 5: Waking up early, local artists will visit us at the Biological Station to share their knowledge and crafting techniques including basket weaving and more. In the afternoon we will hike to a high and breathtakingly beautiful observation point to meditate, and sketch the sunset.

May 6: In the very early morning we will have the opportunity to observe the great colorful birds and spirit of the Amazon, Los Guacamayo in their collpa. After lunch we will share the work and experiences we encountered this past week.

May 7: Pack up and travel back to Puerto Maldanado. This evening we will stay in a local hotel and have dinner in town.

May 8: Guests will be transported to the airport of Puerto Maldanado to return home.
