Madeline Lynch is an artist, educator, healer, and world weaver. Lynch’s art reflects her relationship with the Earth, Love & Loss, and Ancestral Wisdom. From direct experience and art practice, she aims to expand the human perspective by facilitating an interactive relationship; one that empowers individuals to look beyond classical structures of thinking, feeling, engaging with art, and celebrates the great mystery of Life.

CO-CURATOR & PROJECT DIRECTOR, ART EXHIBIT: SEEDS OF THE ANACONDA, MOCOA - PUTUMAYO, COLOMBIA, 2016

Seeds of the Anaconda is the first visionary art exhibition of its kind to be exhibited in Putumayo, Colombia, featuring over 30 artists from six countries at Centro Experimental Amazonico, from June 25 to July 10, 2016. Inspired by a creation myth of the Amazon Jungle and in honor of the 10th Anniversary of El Llamado de la Montaña, this exhibit features local and international artists who honor ancestral wisdom and the Earth. As co-curator and project director, Lynch worked in partnership to select participating artists, transport the art, put up the exhibit, prepare social media and marketing materials, contact foundations and private donors for funding, organize tours and featured artist talks to special guests and the public. www.seedsoftheanaconda.com

 

FUNDRAISER CAMPAIGN TEAM, EL LLAMADO DE LA MONTAÑA, PUTUMAYO, COLOMBIA, 2016

Worked to successfully create an online fundraising campaign, Amazon Regenerative & Resilience Solutions, using generosity.org to raise money for the 10th Anniversary of El Llamado de la Montaña, a gathering that unites educators, artists, permaculture and ecology specialists, Eco-builders, ancestral wisdom keepers, social activists, youth and holistic minded people in a seven day “vision council” to discus solutions to community and worldly problems. The fundraising campaign raised money to bring elders and important people to the event, and to build a sustainable energy efficient kitchen using appropriate technologies. www.llamadodelamontaña.org

 

CURATOR & PROJECT ORGANIZER, ART EXHIBIT - A CREATIVE PLUS: ART OF EXPANSION AND CONTRACTION, BLAUVELT, NY, 2015

"A Creative Pulse: Art of Expansion and Contraction" is a group POP-UP art exhibit featuring five local artists living in New York. At this event, a woodworking workshop was transformed into an art gallery with high quality sculptures and paintings, interpreting the philosophical theme. The event included live painting, live music, and community space for guest artists to display their artwork. Lynch created the theme, selected artists, created digital promotional posters, wrote press release, hung the artwork and oversaw the event.

 

IFRE VOLUNTEER ART TEACHER, ATENAS, COSTA RICA - MAY - JUNE 2013

Lynch designed and taught art classes for children ages 5-12 in a rural orphanage in Atenas, Costa Rica.

 

GALLERY MANAGER, INTERNATIONAL VISIONS GALLERY, WASHINGTON, D.C. — 2010-2012

Lynch acted as gallery manager to IVG and maintained the daily functions of the gallery as primary assistant to

director/owner. Her tasks included hanging monthly art expositions, delegate tasks to interns, make sales, document art, process invoices to artists, buyers, and collectors, write press releases, make artist information packets, and videos. She accompanied the director to Art Basel, Miami in 2012 to exhibit & sell artwork. Lynch assisted the director to organize IVG's 15 Anniversary Gala that included a fundraiser for Amnesty International and a sit down dinner for over 150 people with speakers, live music, a fashion show and a silent auction. www.inter-visions.com

 

ASSISTANT TO DIRECTOR, FONDO DEL SOL MUSEUM, WASHINGTON, D.C. - 2009-2012

Founded in 1973, Fondo Del Sol is a non-profit Museum that pays homage to minority artists such as Native Americans, Latinos, Afro-Americans and other immigrant groups by telling their stories of human rights and cultural beliefs through art, video and literature. Lynch assisted the director in writing press releases, grants and educational essays. She documented the art collection, set up educational tours to public schools, created and directed a volunteer educational art program for high school students in 2011 and 2012. www.mochamuseumdc.org/about/mocha-history/
